How Can Shortness Of Breath While Using Inhalers And Flonase Be Treated?
My husband has a 50 years 1 PPD of cigarette smoking. PFT s done in December were within normal limits and lung xrays were ok. He now is c/o of SOB with sats 88-90. Using inhalers and Flonase. Does have a lengthy heart history. Does not want to go to the ER He is sitting up in bed and when deep breaths I can see his sats reach 91-92.. That s the highest
From what you are reporting, your husband health situation is really bad taking into account his personal history of cigarette smoking. What I suspect is a chronic pulmonary disease that should be immediately confirmed by a pulmonologist. Hospitalization until betterment is also recommended. A complete check-up including cardiac checkup and complete blood work are further advised.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Albana Sejdini
