Hello,

From what you are reporting, your husband health situation is really bad taking into account his personal history of cigarette smoking. What I suspect is a chronic pulmonary disease that should be immediately confirmed by a pulmonologist. Hospitalization until betterment is also recommended. A complete check-up including cardiac checkup and complete blood work are further advised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini
