How Can Sinusitis And Pressure In The Forehead Be Treated?

I think I have some sort of sinus infection, if I sneeze i get a pain like the air pressure goes to my frontal forehead. I recently had a cold n chest or bronchial infection n when I cough with my shortness of breath, the pressure from my cough goes straight up to my head causing a migraine type headache but subsides after a few minutes , it has gotten worse where it doesn’t seem to be going away . This condition started last year around this time n went away during summer but as it got colder it started again n it seems to have stayed with me n now it’s getting too uncomfortable to even stand it. I have gone to a doctor n taken prescription then later X-rays to my head n nothing was serious, I kind of let it go for awhile but now it’s come back with way more force, just wondering if I could have a bacteria . Maybe you have a solution?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you are allergic to pollen, hay, fungal infections then weather changes & cold climatic conditions can trigger your sinus problems. Inflammation of nasal passages result due to allergy leading to mucus blockage & pressure built up in the sinuses. You will also get headache & migraine after that. Visit an ENT specialist & get all investigations done. Sinus can be treated with medications but at tiles surgery may be required depending upon the diagnosis. In the meantime you can inhale steam, take nasal washing, antihistamines, decongestants work well, You may need medications analgesics, antibiotics or steroids; take it after consultation with your PCP, take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
