How Can Soreness And Swelling Under The Nail Be Treated?

There seems to be an infection under my nail on my pointing finger. The finger is also swollen and under the nail it is sore. Also the middle finger is swollen (no infection under the nail), hurts and in the morning is bent down toward the palm of my hand. Both fingers feel tight.

Hi.
As per your case history you are having nail bed infection, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
