How Can Stiffness In The Mouth And Drooling Caused By Taking Haldol Be Treated?
i have a question my 14 year had a bad case of a melt down at the hostpial they gave him haldol to calm him now he is allergic to it and his mouth stiffens and he is drroling they gave him benedry they reassured him this will be out of his system soon and no more of this as along as he doesnt get this medicine anymore

Haldol (Haloperidol) can cause hypersalivation (drooling) and dystonia (mouth/face stiffness), as side effects. Once the drug is stopped, its effects will wear off. It is better to use smallest effective dose for shortest period of time needed.
