How Can Sudden Pain In Both Hands, Fingers And Knuckles Be Treated?
Hi My hands both, are all of a sudden really hurting. When I say all of a sudden I mean with in the last 24 hours. I just went swimming, sat in a jacuzzi drove for an hour and that is when my fingers and my knuckles started really hurting. I have put them in warm water which feels good then cold which feels good but they are really hurting. I just took some Motrin. What do you recommend
I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests in order to investigate on the possible cause underlying your complaints: - Complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation -FR plasma levels - Vitamin D plasma levels for possible deficiency
You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests. In the meantime, I recommend taking ibuprofen twice daily for a couple of days.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
