How Can Swelling And Inflammation Around The Tragus Be Treated?

My husband has an extremely swollen tragus. It is in flames around the tragus and the gland below his ear is swollen. Has a slight fever and cannot hear. Have got him antibiotic drops has been using for 3 days. There has been no change in his condition.

Most probably,your husband is suffering from Otitis external(inflammation of the outer ear). It is mostly caused by self cleaning of ear. You may get help by taking following medicines: Oral antibiotic like Augmentin, Analgesic with Antiinflammatory like Ibuprofen, Antacid like Rantac, Topical antibiotic cream like Soframycin ,to be applied over the outer ear skin swelling.
