How Can Swelling And Itching In The Eye Be Treated?

For 2 plus months I have been experiencing swollen, itchy, puffy eyes... the lids become stiff and sometimes hard to lift ... underneath the eyes are dark and swollen .. I have seen an eye doctor ( gave me steroid drops and cream ... symptoms came back 24 hours after the end of prescription) Allergist gave me a 6 day pack of steroids.... the symptoms keep returning... how can I treat this extremely uncomfortable problem? Thank you Amy

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Try using olopatadine eye drops twice and artificial tear drops four times a day for a month. It sound like allergy. Avoid dust and dirt.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
