How Can Swelling In The Knees Be Treated?

I am having bilateral swelling of my calves, knees and lower thighs. My work had increased to 48-50 hours of standing per week with virtually no sitting except if I get to run to the bathroom? Because I am on medications for hypertension, Norvasc and spironolactone, I was concerned about some type of heart failure although I know amlodipine can cause swelling, what do u advise?

Hi,

It can be an early sign of arthritis. You have to consult an orthopedics and get evaluated. You might require an MRI scan probably.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
