How Can Swelling On The Arm After An Insect Bite Be Treated?
A week ago my husband was stung by an insect, not sure what, on his elbow. His arm swelled considerably and then lessened some but is still hot and puffy and doesn’t seem to have gotten any better in the last 3 days. He has been icing the area for relief. Please advise
It may be a secondary infection in the insect bite area. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.Take a course of antibiotic like Cephalexin twice a day with anti-inflammatory drugs like Numesulide twice a day. Apply antibiotic cream on the lesion.
