Hi there I have a problem with my left testicle, I woke up this morning with pain in it. It seems when I close my legs it hurts but it’s not horrible pain, but pain none the less. When I felt it, it felt like the epididymis I think it’s called or bit behind your testicle that like connects it or something. Anyway, any advice would be appreciated
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Looks like Epididymis, take Ciprofloxacin or Doxt-500 twice daily for 10 days. Take Ibuprofen (Advil) for relieve from pain, one when needed. It should get well in 3-5 days. However, get examined in ER though does not look like torsion. Avoid any heavy work, stay away from sex till you get well. Even after wards if you are sexually active always go for protected sex. The most common cause of epididymis in sexually active men is STD like Chlamydia, gonorrhoea.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K.
