Also, long term and unsupervised usage of such creams are harmful for the skin, as they contain many potent ingredients which further make the skin sensitive. If you have uneven skin tone, that can be corrected with some basic skin treatments like chemical peels and microdermabrasion along with good home care regime. Also, sunscreen is extremely beneficial in protecting the skin and preventing it from becoming further darker due to sunlight. I suggest stop the skin lightening cream and start using a sunscreen regularly. A thin layer of sunscreen with SPF 15 and above is good enough, but it must be applied 20 mins before you leave the house and reapplied every 3-4 hours as that s the duration of protection provided by the sunscreen.
