How Can Throat Irritation With Phlegm And Cough Be Treated?
hi. I am a singer and a singer must have a clean throat ..but during 2-3 days i was suffering from cough and cold and everytime i cough ..a thick bulgum comes out ..and right now i am feeling irritation in my throat tell me the way to reduce this bulgum and get a clean throat
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of throat irritation with phlegm and cough which is because of infection travel down the respiratory tract and affected whole area leading to granular pharyngitis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles along with nasal saline rinses. You should consult your ENT specialist once for proper examination. Doctor may perform blood test, throat swab test to confirm diagnosis. He/she may prescribe proper antibiotic course along with anti-inflammatory medications. You should take hot soup along with lemon honey green tea. Take diet rich in vitamin C. Take decongestant nasal sprays containing mucinex for instant relief.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
