How Can Throat Soreness And Tonsils Swelling With Pus Be Treated?

Hi i m having a bad sore throat. i can t swallow my saliva. my tonsils are swollen and there s pus on it. My doctor told me that she can t prescribe any antibiotics because it ll go on its own. what kinds of home treatment can i do in order to soothe the pain and get rid of the pus?

Thanks for your query... if your condition is acute then you need to have a course of antibiotics...and if the condition is chronic and it is recurrent then you can go in for tonsillectomy...as far as home treatment you have asked...for that you can do saline water gargles thrice daily ....how to do--take a glass of luke warm water and add a pinch of salt in it and do gargles of full glass three times a day.
