How Can Tightening Of Muscles Causing Severe Pain In The Legs At Night Be Treated?

In the middle of the night, the muscles in my legs tighten up and I can t move them, it s usually in my right leg though. It is extremely painful and it lasts for about 2-3 minutes. The only way to get I to stop is if i run my leg. What s wrong with me? How can i treat and prevent it?

Due you have Diabetes Mellitus, or lower limb Nuropathy due to Lumbar disc prolapse? In such case the symptoms you are experiencing is nuropathic Parasthesia. Other than getting investigated for Diabetes Mellitis and X Ray of the lumbo-sacral spine, please also get nerve conduction studies of the lower limb. Please do get back to me with the reports, or you may consult a Podiatric Surgeon.
