How Can Tinnitus Be Treated While On Vitamin-B, Vitamin-D, Iron And Medication For Restless Leg Syndrome?
I have ringing in my ears that sound high pitched or metallic. Some times I don t even realize it and other times it is so loud it is louder than the television. It can keep me from sleeping at times. I take iron, blossoms for restless leg syndrome, vitamins D and B, flonase and zyrtec.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You have symptoms of tinnitus which could be due to the ear wax accumulation and exposure to loud sounds leading to eardrum injury.
I would suggest you consult ENT specialist once for proper examination as it cannot be 100% cured however intensity can be reduced. You should get it examined by PTA i.e. Pure tone audiogram and go for audiometry and tympanometry.
The doctor may prescribe treatment as per cause. Till then take multivitamins, ginkgo biloba supplements, and antioxidants. Meditation and light physical exercise will be helpful. Certain hearing aids are also useful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
