How Can Trigeminal Neuralgia Be Treated?

I think I have trigeminal neuralgia. I have this intense electric shock sensation. It s not that often but it happens when I brush my upper left teeth. I am trying to avoid to do that, but sometimes I do without knowing it. It lasts may be less than 20 seconds but the pain is so intense that it looks like forever. My question is what I need to relieve during the episode.

Hi,

How do you know that it is trigeminal neuralgia. It also possible that's a migraine headache or herpes zoster etc. You may just try tablet Pregabalin once daily for five days.

Please consult your neuro physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
