You have to know the difference between prostatitis like prostatitis is inflammation of the prostate gland; the four types are acute bacterial prostatitis, chronic bacterial prostatitis, chronic (nonbacterial) prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome, and asymptomatic inflammatory prostatitis.
Prostatitis usually does not lead to death, but prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men, even though it is a slow-moving disease. In prostate malignancyay present like hematuria with urine retention, weight loss may present.
Please get urine to be examined and send for culture sensitivity. Use tablet Doxycycline twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
