Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 87 year old mother has a lot of trouble holding her urine, she also has problems with Constipation. She has had a hysterectomy 50 years ago, she has been put on several types of meds to (dry her out) so to speak. Is there a procedure that can be done to remedy her problems? Does she need to see a urologist of Gynocologist?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
it really depends upon the type of incontinence she is having. She needs to see a urologist or a urogynecologist to determine the type of incontinence she is having. Once they know the cause of her incontinence they can tell you if there is a procedure to correct this problem.
Regards
