Hi My son with age 1year and 7 months has vitilgo. We observed it on lower lip left side and after that chicks and hair also turning grey. All are on left side of body. It has started 6 months back. We started visiting dermatologist from last 3 months. They are giving some lotion to apply on the white patchs. Please tell me the treat ments to stop growing the further.
Your doctor might suggest tacrolimus oint or pimecrolimus cream to apply on the lesions thrice a day. Liver preparation like liv -52 syrup may be given.
If vitiligo is on lips, palms and feet,it may be resistant to treatment. On face, upper part of extremities and trunk, proper and long term treatment might improve. Still, the prognosis might be unpredictable.
I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
