I was treated for pink eye over a month ago. I also had a second opinion as I was concerned I had a cold sore in my eye. It has not cleared up and it has been over a month. It is extremely watery each morning and stays red all day. What shouldn't next step be?
it is viral infection and self limiting but is secondery infection is there bthen it can be prolonged. in that case consult eye doctor for complete eye examination and ofloxacin .3% eye drop can be started 6 hourly. neosporine eye ointment can be applied at bed time can apply refresh eye tear drop and take tab levocetrizine5mg daily morning. slit lamp examination can be done to see kps and uveitis to be ruled out.
