How Can Watery Eyes Be Treated?

Hi, my right eye has been watering for a few days. If I take allergy medicine it helps. Today I came home and put some allergy drops in my eyes. I went out to eat, and on the way home my eye felt funny. I thought my contact was bothering me. I looked in the mirror, and my right eye is extremely dilated. Otherwise I don't feel bad, except for a slight headache

Welcome to HCM.If you are responding to OTC allergy medications,it could be a simple eye allergy.Since you have mentioned it has affected only your right eye,it should be something localized to that eye.Couple of questions come to my mind with your scenario.Do you have any irritation/redness/light senstivity/discharge?Did you sleep with your Contact lens on?Do you notice any difference in visual quality between both eyes?If it's a YES to any of these questions,I would suggest you to have a direct examination by your Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.
Your symptoms could be related to contact lens usage, which in case ,must be seen and treated early to avoid any damage to the cornea.I have seen patients who forget to remove the lens and experience the same.It could be a simple allergy also.Having an eye exam done would be the best thing to do .
Hope this helps.Take care.
