the white of my eye is pink. It as well as the other is light sensitive. My eye is painful and it s more comfortable to keep it closed. It is also tearing. I talked to our local Triage nurse, she asked my doctor and they believe I m experiencing the beginning of a stye. I ve had styes before where the lid is read and there s a bump and I m not seeing one. I bathed my eye with warm water. Seeing no green discharge. Just a lot of tearing. I ve not injured my eye.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Your eyes are watering because of irritation & inflammation, you can use a warm towel on your eyes several times a day to get relieve from the blocked glands. Do not scratch. If it is sore, you can take Ibuprofen (Advil), one when required. You can also use Genticyn eye drops, 2-3 drops twice daily. You can visit an eye specialist & get physically examined. Take care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K.
