My daddy is 84 and fell ill three weeks ago. 1st strep thraot 2nd pnemonia he had confusion a disorientation, sleepind all the time. Finally got him in hospital and had hyponatemia. he was in ICU one night then to a room for 1 1/2 days. He is still really sick still. How dangerous is this and who should he see. He is in great shape before this drove tractor daily bird hunted etc no all he does is sleep. Ha has also had a great appitite now he eats nothing. What should I do,

Acute hyponatremia patient may experience above symptoms. In case if chronic asymptomatic only, sodium levels should be corrected slowly otherwise it may pontine myelinolysis leading to quadriparesis and aggravate the problem.
