How Do I Get Rid Of Eye Discharge And Blurred Vision?

I have had eye gunk or discharge for probably about three years now. I had my eyes checked a couple of years ago and my eye doctor said to put a warm washcloth on my eyes in the mornings. But it isn t a morning thing. It makes my vision blurry. Not so much before as I am noticing more and more that I am not seeing as well and have to clean my eyes out. I don t feel it. But when I am blurry eyed I realize I need to look in the mirror and get it out. It s not really yellow, it is a light creamy color or almost white.

Hello,

This seems like a gland dysfunction. I would advise you to maintain lid hygiene by cleaning the lids with baby shampoo. Also, you can use ointments like cortisone at night time along with artificial tear eye drops for a week.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Ophthalmologist
