How Do I Use Proygna Pill To Get Pregnant?

hi.. me and my husband really want to have baby. we go already to doctor to check my uterus everything seem to be normal. and my husband to had his sperm count and it passed the required sperm. my doc gave me cyclo proygna its a pill. I take it in the 6th day of my menstration and havent missed it. consumed on fed 3 2014. but suddenly my period came this feb 9 and we are very upset. can u give me advice how to use the pill for pregnancy . thanks

Thanks for the query.

I understand that you have had a gynec examination and your husbands semen analysis has been done. This indicates that on preliminary examination, both of you do not have any major factor hindering pregnancy. However, there are other causes like open tubes, formation of ovum, and status of uterus and endometrium that need evaluation. I will need a more detailed history to help you.

Cyclo progynova is a pill that contains the hormone estrogen and is used in menopausal women that have low estrogen. Estrogen is also used for short term in some women with thin endometrium to make it grow and conducive for the baby to get implanted.

For this pill to be effective, it must be first determined that there is a problem in endometrial growth. I suggest that you get an ultrasound and ovulation study done. If these are OK, you will need an endometrial biopsy to know the condition of endometrium.

Proper management will depend upon the cause and you will have good results after that.
Until then I suggest that you keep regular contact between cycle day 12-20 on alternate days for maximum chances of conception.
