How Does Niacin Help In Detoxifying Methamphetamine?
Yes I'm 9. Months pregnant and sadly have been using methamphetamine throughout most of my pregnancy so I want to detox before I go into labor will niacin really work so that my baby will not come out positive for meth and so that I will come up clean as well,??
Not a bit. They test the poop which forms for the last month. There is no way to get something out of the poop. Niacin at usual amounts, however, is a good vitamin to take. Unfortunately, the last month is late for most of the benefits/prevntion effects.
Still.....
Methamphetamine has effects on the heart and circulation. Labor is quite a strain on these. Being off of methamphetamine even one week prior to labor likely lowers your risk during pregnancy, so you should still come off of the methamphetamine.
In narcotics, which are a bit easier to come off of, pregnancy and delivery has been a major factor in my patients coming off of them (narcotics). It is a good context to come off of drugs.
