How Effective Is Rabiros-D For Loss Of Appetite?

what is the use of medecine in the body?Rabiros-D I am suffering from loss of appetite, loss of weight while loosing muscles,weight loss.I am a heart patient and Diabetic type II. I am 5ft 6 inch, weighs only150 lbs 78 years of age. Please guide me on med Rabiros-D and DiabeVit,prescribed by my doctor to me.Thanks. Brijinder Virk.

Hi,

Most of the medicines prescribed in diabetes and heart disease affect the protective layer in the stomach exposing the epithelium layer which damages to the effects of acid on it. The damaged epithelial layer and underlying layer get inflamed after acid exposure which alters the normal digestive process. Rabiros D contains Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor which decreases the acid secretion in the stomach which in turn reduces the damage the gastric lining tissue. It also contains Domperidone which prevents the acid reflux into the esophagus.

Poor diet results in muscle wasting due to protein utilizing for energy needs. Gastritis causes loss of appetite results in weight loss due to decreased food intake. Diabevit contains multiple vitamins, minerals and nutrients which complements the energy needs of the body. Appropriate diet along with these medication helps to recover from gastritis and thus stimulates appetite.
