Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I m 16 years old and I eat baby formula, like the ones you put in water to make milk. I was addicted to it at a young age and i kind of just stopped because, of course, there wasnt any necessity for anyone to buy it (i.e. no babies in the house). My mom just had a baby and I ve been eating it again and i just wanted to know if it was a bad thing and if i can get sick from it?
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.
Eating baby formula is not directly harmful to your health. But you should understand that these are usuall high in sugar and calorie content. This can cause you to put on excessive amount of weight in the long run.
Also, if you take too much of such high calorie foods, then you may neglect to take a balanced diet like vegetables, pulses, etc. and this can result in vitamin deficiencies. So, I would suggest that you refrain from taking excessive amounts of baby formula and rather take a healthy and well-balanced diet.
Wish you all the best.
