Hii ..... my dad inefcted with hiv and he has fallen from roof and i come closer to him and grab her neck by my hands and blood flows from his jaws and after we gone for first aid nearby hospital ... now my shirt full of with blood for 5 hours .... and we came after cure of my father ....and SUDDENLY i have a sub minor ..... absolutely minor cut on my left thumb on upper layer i am in fear that DIF i also infected with hiv because i dont knkw blood touch with these cut or not??? Pls help me

Hello,

HIV virus can live outside body only for few seconds. If you have cut over your body and if you had come into contact with blood, then HIV should be ruled out.

You are at very low risk for HIV but for peace of mind rule out HIV after six week of exposure by CMIA combo test.
