How Is Ear And Throat Pain Treated?

ear and throat issues I am 25 I m on keflex I have been having issues with my ears and throat for about 3 weeks now my throat hurts so bad I have been on antibiotics for 3 weeks now to and no change I can barely hear out if my ears as well I m supposed to go to s ears nose and throat doc but its not for another 2 week s and I don t think I can wait that long

Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

You might be suffering from Pharyngitis(inflammation in the throat) which might have lead to eustachian tube blockage leading to ear blockage.

You are taking Antibiotic Keflex(Cephalexin),but still no relief ,so you might need to take another group of Antibiotic like Amoxycillin-Clavulanic Acid after consulting Doctor.

You may find relief by taking Analgesic and Anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen along with Antacid like Rantac,Oral Decongestant like Phenylephrine (take decongestant only if you are not suffering from high blood pressure,heart disease,kidney diease,high pressure in the eyes-glaucoma) and Betadine gargles.

Also do warm saline gargles.Do steam inhalation.Drink lots of fluids(warm).Avoid cold,spicy and oily food.Avoid dust,smoke and other pollutants.
