Hi There I have been diagnosed after a short hospital stay with a ruptured cyst and I have been told my doctor (after an ultrasound) that I have 160ml of fluid and I have an appointment on Tuesday to see an obstetrician but I am eager to find out how this fluid is removed. I have had a hysterectomy 2 years ago. Kind Regards Shayne
well if there is a ruptured cyst from ovary and you are asymptomatic presently, then there are two options of the fluid to be removed, ..one is laproscopically suction may be performed followed by irrigation and suction and removal of the cyst wall. secondly if only fluid is to be removed then culdocentesis may also be performed to remove the fluid from POD/.
