How Is Lung Cancer Treated In A Person Unwilling To Take Chemotherapy?

RES. Dr.Krueger,

my uncle is suffering from "Ca bronchus with right malignant pleural effusion with left lung metastasis " our treating doctor {Dr.sagdeo(m.d) & Dr.gupte(oncologist) wockhardt nagpur} advised us for 'CHEMOTHERAPY' but my uncle's physical status not willing to take it. please advise us.and pls give me your mail ID to send our medicel reports.

Hi

Your uncle is suffering from stage 4 lung cancer.
I will advise him to do EGFR and ALK mutation test in his biopsy sample.
If these mutation tests are positive then oral chemotherapy with lesser side effects can be given to him.
