hi
vitiligo is anautoimmune disease in which melanocytes are destroyed. the aggravating factors are stress, high dose of vitamin C, foods rich in vit C (like oranges, lemon, tomato, amla, guava).
for proper treatment you can consult a dermatologist. though the treatmet is lengthy, you may expect results if your white spots are having black hairs. lesions lacking black hairs or over bony prominences are usually resistant to treatment. one of the good treatments are Narrow Band UVB Phototherapy as it is safe and effective and its results are very fast. if your disease is stable you can also go for grafting.
bye
helloo,
Vitiligo is a stubborn disorder with a prolonged course.there is no particular "vitiligo diet" but the diet should be a healthy one.
Foods rich in vitamin -c ,like citrus fruits, tomatoes, green tea are to be avoided.
Non-veg food like fish and red meat may worsen the auto-immune process.
Blue berries are found harmful in vitiligo.
ALCOHOLIC and flavoured drinks should be avoided.
