How Long VAT Surgery After Effects Will Continue?

I had VATS surgery for a lung biopsy done on May 8th. Besides soreness, no problems with the recovery. But one of my incisions is still leaking somewhat and I wonder if I should get checked. It is on my back just below my shoulder blade - so there is more movement thus maybe the delayed closing... There is no pain, redness, swelling or infection. How long should I expect this to continue?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Normal VATS wound heals by 7-10 days postoperatively.
If there is SSI (surgical site infection) than there can be delayed healing.
And VATS wounds are very prone to infection.
So possibility of SSI is high in your case.
It is better to check this by doing culture of the fluid and repeat chest x ray to rule out underlying lung infection or underlying fluid collection.
So consult your Doctor and discuss all these.
