How Long After Having Late Periods Can I Take A Pregnancy Test?
Hi I am 29 years old and have start taking folic acid pill for trying to get pregnant for the past one month..now my period is delayed for 6 days and normally I have a regular period cycle..does taking folic acid affect my period lateness? I have done a home pregnancy test but it was negative..please advise.

Hi, I understand your concern. - Folic acid does not cause delayed periods. - Pregnancy test done at home ( urine) can be done after 8-10 days delay in periods. Please repeat the test after 4 days. ( Blood pregnancy test ( Lab test)can be done around expected date of periods.) Thanks.
