How Long After Having Late Periods Can I Take A Pregnancy Test?

Five days late for my period. I have been unusually lazy, very moody, and my nipples(just the nipples, not the breast), and today i had a very light pinkish/orangish color when i wiped. Not in my panties, just when i wiped. My husband and i have been trying to conceive. When should i test? Am i pregnant?

Hi,

I have gone through the query and understood your concern. If you have been regular with your menstrual cycles, you can test for pregnancy using a HPT kit 3-7 days after the missed period with a fresh early morning sample. This should be followed, if positive, by a trans-vaginal sonogram for proper confirmation, location of the gestation sac and viability and to know the age of the pregnancy. Your symptoms can be seen with a very early pregnancy or during premenstrual period. Implantation bleeding is seen at around the expected period and is a fresh bleed.
