How Long After Having Late Periods Can I Take A Pregnancy Test?
I stopped birth control about a month ago because my husband and I want to have a baby. I had been on it almost 8 years. I missed my period, but I know going off the pill can throw off my schedule. How long should I wait before thinking I could be pregnant?

HI, I understand your concern. Oral contraceptives act by suppressing ovulation. So stopping of the contraceptive mostly leads to rebound stimulation of ovulation,so the chances of pregnancy are good for you. Pregnancy is confirmed by pregnancy test, - Blood HCG testing done around expected day of menstruation. - Home pregnancy test of urine can be positive after 8-10 days delay in periods. Thanks.
