How Long Anal Skin Tag Takes To Heal After Surgery?

I had anal skin tag surgery about 6 weeks ago. Everything seems to be healing well, just very slowly. How long before I am completly healed. I had 3 removed. Also it looks like there is still a tag, which is still a little tender. Will this go away once I m completly healed?

General Surgeon 's  Response
These wounds take a long time to heal and it is perfectly normal for that to happen as the area does not get rest for faster healing. Do not worry about that. If there is tenderness in any particular area then there could be infection in that area so its better to get that checked up. Is there any discharge also? About the residual skin tag, it will decrease in size but if that has not been surgically removed then it will not go away completely. When three tags are removed it is normal to leave connecting anal skin tissue to complete the skin circumference which can feel like a tag. So relax and take care. Regards, Dr Rishi.
