Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I accidentally spilled straight Clorox Bleach on my kitchen floor over a week ago and have washed it several times since but the bleach funes are still lingering. I keep the house well ventilated, but at night when I close the windows it seems to build up again. When I washed the floor after the spill I used laundry detergent as I know bleach is used with that on a regular basis so I figured it was the safest bet. How long are the funes toxic? I have the rest of the house shut off so it didn t spread and have been avoiding that part of the house.

Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Arun's Response
you are good in keeping the toxins contained in close space. low concentration of bleach if you are exposing than it will not cause any harm to your family. but again long exposure of any chemicals may be carcinogenic. though there are not many studies which shows that it is carcinogenic. but you should be careful. you should consult one of the mason for this purpose. take some construction measures and remove that bleach contaminated areas. till that time you should take the precautions as you have mentioned in the questions.
