How Long Bleeding Take Place After Intake Of Cytopan?

Hi, My fiancee took 4 tablets of cytopan under her tonque and there was only a few spot of dark blood on her napkin. She took again after 3 hours 4 tablets and she felt like a very high fever which she almost passed out. I was so worried and what does it mean. Her friend advised to take the next 4 tablets on her vagina that her body cannot accept oral intake. How long will the bleeding take place after those intakes? I don t want her to take the medicine again

Cytopan regimen is around 80-85% effective in completing the abortion if taken for a pregnancy of less than 12 week duration.
With 3 hourly doses, side effects tend to be high. Fever is known side effect of cytopan but it should be transient. if it is persistent then you should consult your doctor.
Bleeding after cytopan is highly unpredictable and may occur up to 1-2 weeks.
From the history you have given, it seems that she has not had complete abortion. She should bleed like heavy periods for 2-3 hours. After which, spotting may persist for some time. Maximum of three doses of cytopan can be taken.
If bleeding does not happen in a week, you should consult your gynecologist for further management.
