How Long Can Monticop Be Taken For Cough And Cold?

I am suffering from asthma from last 10years and feeling chest congestion though I am taking homeopathy medicine my doctor recommende Me to take monticop for frequent cold &cough am taking for last 10days at night 1tablet is it cure cold &cough,how long I can take it?

I went through your history and I would like to make following suggestions to you:

Monticope is effective for both asthma & allergic rhinitis. However, it mainly treats the symptoms, it does not "cure" allergy itself.

So it is to be taken as long as one has symptoms of allergy unless one is experiencing side effects. Common side effects of Monticope are sedation, drowsiness, poor concentration, nausea, vomiting, headache.

So if you are not experiencing any of the side effects, I would suggest you to continue the medicine as long as you have symptoms.
