Hello and welcome,

I understand the query. Nausea and vomiting are common during early pregnnacy and decrease after 12 weeks. Most of the time they are controlled by remedies like taking a dry toast before getting up from bed in the morning and consuming less liquids in the morning.

If the vomiting is excessive then drugs like vomikind can be used. However as they give only symptomatic relief, use them only when needed. If there is no nausea then there is no need to take the drug. Most women do not need them after 12 weeks.

If the vomiting is excessive then it is better to find out if there are any other reasons for such vomiting like twins, neural tube defects or a condition called mole. All can be detected by ultrasound.

So get an ultrasound done if it has not already been done.

Hope this satisfies your query.
