How Long Can Defcort 6 Be Taken For Proctosigmoidities Without Side Effects?
I am suffering from Ulcerative Colitis (Proctosigmoidities). Doctor prescribed Defcort 6. It is nice on my health. But when I withdraw this medicine disease gets flare up. So pls tell me how long I can take this medicine without serious side effect.

Hello.Deflazacort is an effective drug for ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease Crisis but not can be used continuously because it is a corticosteroid and causes increased blood pressure, glucose levels increase, osteoporosis and other adverse effects. Deflazacort only be used when your symptoms are more intense.
