Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The medication effect should be seen right away, if not effective in the first couple of days it is unlikely that it will act later. You should see the doctor again to be checked and should have some blood tests regarding those glands you mention in your neck and arms. It is unclear what did the doctor think the cause was when he/she prescribed prochlorperazine, you should discuss that with the doctor to understand what is suspected and what to expect.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
