MENS STARTED FROM 5.9.12. BUT STILL MENS CONTINUING TILL DATE 20.9.12. IS IT NORMAL? OR MEDICINE HAS NOT WORKED? GUIDE ME.
Hi, I appreciate your concerns. MTP pill is very effective (95%). But but there is a small possibility of method failure. The bleeding after abortion usually stops in two weeks time. Since you have the bleeding even after two weeks, probably the medicines have not worked completely in your case. There is a possibility of pregnancy tissue still remaining in the uterus. You need to consult your doctor and get an ultrasound of uterus done. For such a patient in my clinic, if there is small remnant I would observe for some more time expecting spontaneous expulsion to occur. If the remnant is significant, I would discuss with her the options of repeating the medicines again or surgery. I would also prescribe antibiotics. I hope I have answered to your satisfaction.
