How Long Do Side Effects Of Injections For Lumbar Block Last?

I recently had 2 nerve blocks in my lumbar region. 4 shots were adminitered per block. Ive had 8 injections in the past month. I have developed terrible acne on my face and neck that has now emerged on my back, chest, and even stomach, in addition. My most recent nerve block was 9 days ago and side effects are worsening. How long will it take before the injection contents are no longer in my system and side effects dissipate?

Hello and thanks for your question.
It sounds like you had steroid injections for the nerve block. Acne is a steroid side effect. It can take several months for the steroid to get out of your system and for the acne to resolve. Use over the counter medications like benzoyl peroxide as needed. I hope this resolves soon.
Thanks for using HCM
