How Long Do The Bloating And Pain Last Due To C. Difficile?
HELLO MY NAME IS SUSAN AND I AM SUFFERING WITH SEVERE BLOATING AND PAIN FOLLOWING C DIFF IN MAY. ANTIBIOTICS DONE AND STOOLS BACK TO NORMAL. CAN EAT AND BE HUNGRY, BUT PAIN AND BLOATING CONTINUES. IT NEVER REALLY GOES AWAY ONLY SMALL RELIEF IN BETWEEN MEALS. HAVE SEEN GI DR. WITH COLONOSOPY FOR MONDAY. HOW LONG CAN SYMPTOMS LIKE THIS CONTINUE.
Dear- thanks for using our service, C.Difficilli is a bacteria that produces a lot of gas and pain in the intestines. It can last 2-3weeks after you had the infections and sometimes you need to a second treatment . The colonoscopy will help to give more information of the intestinal wall and how is healing. You should avoid food that give more bloating as broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce and carbonated drinks. I hope that my advise has been helpful Dr.Sara
