How long the side effects of unwanted 72 last??? Till how many period session.. frst time after taking the medicine i face severe bleeding with leg n breast pain.. do it will have side effects in the nxt period too???
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Unwanted 72 is an emergency contraceptive pill. After intake of the pill, it would prevent pregnancy by causing breakthrough bleeding. In some people, the bleeding could be little heavier than their usual period with other accompanying side effects like breast pain, headache, and so on. However, the effects does not seem to last long. Once the bleeding stops, you should return back to normal. It does not affect your next periods and you need to get it as usual what you were getting before.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
