How Long Does Actilax Take To Treat Constipation?
my husband is in extreme pain & feeling that he needs to toilet (bowel) but when he goes, nothing is happening - he was prescribed Actilax 6 weeks ago for the same pain but has not taken it. If he has a dose now, how long will it be before he passes a motion?

If this abdomen pain is due to constipation then no need to take any medicine but try fiber containing diet, laxatives, and increase the water intake.
After 6 to 8 hours of taking laxative, patient may pass the stool if no other cause of constipation is there like any pathological condition.
