How Long Does An Epidural Shot Take To Show Its Effect?
Started taking hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 TB yesterday. Apparently I m having spine surgery due to no cartilage between 3 or 4 discs & that s crunching the nerves. I am scheduled for an epidural on 6/18 so they finally gave me a pain med! How long does it take to have any effect?

Usually, the immediate effect is from the local anesthetic injected. This wears off in a few hours. The steroid starts working in about 2-7 days and its effect can last for several days to a reasonably long time.
